It’s been an exciting year for Graham Hill Roofing, with plenty to celebrate across the team. From major project recognition to individual achievements, we’re incredibly proud to see the hard work, skill, and commitment of our people recognised within the roofing industry.
A huge highlight for us has been One New Zealand Stadium, which was named RANZ Commercial Roof of the Year 2026 in the large commercial category. This is an achievement we’re especially proud of as it marks the second time Graham Hill Roofing has taken home the Commercial Roof of the Year title, following our first win in 2022.
One New Zealand Stadium has been a massive undertaking and a standout project for our team. To have the quality and craftsmanship behind our work recognised at this level is a great reflection of the people who have put in the hours, overcome the challenges, and worked together to deliver something we can all be proud of.
And the celebrations don’t stop there. Our team has also picked up a number of other awards and achievements along the way. Below, we’re proud to share some of these successes and recognise the people, projects, and hard work behind them.
We’re proud to celebrate Robert Martin, who was named the first Watts & Hughes Safety Champion of the Month.
Robert received nominations from two different Site Managers across the Milns Road and Prebbleton School projects, recognising his attention to safety, diligence on site, and commitment to maintaining high standards when working at heights.
It was great to see Robert’s efforts recognised not only by the Watts & Hughes team, but also by the wider group of contractors on site. A great achievement and well-deserved recognition – congratulations, Robert!
We’re proud to recognise Tyson Wormington, one of Graham Hill Roofings long standing Foreman, who received an award from Leighs Construction for his commitment to Health and Safety on site.
Tyson was acknowledged for his excellent management of exclusion zones, his proactive engagement with the wider team, and his continued commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
A great achievement and a well-deserved recognition of the high safety standards Tyson demonstrates on site.
We’re proud to celebrate our HSE Advisor, Denise Witbrock, who received a Blue Nomination Award from Armitage Construction in recognition of her approach and commitment to health and safety throughout Graham Hill Roofing and Kiwifold.
During a site visit, the team was recognised for maintaining a well-organised facility with high health and safety standards, effective traffic management, and a commitment to workforce development. Particular praise was given to our dedicated in-house training area, where roofers can undertake practical learning simulations, toolbox talks and companywide health and safety presentations.
Through hands-on training, strong health and safety practises, and ongoing mentoring, we’re building a safer workforce and developing the next generation of skilled roofing professionals.
