Project Scope

Graham Hill Roofing was engaged to handle the installation of roofing, cladding, membrane gutters, and rainwater systems for this particular project. Although we routinely manage projects of this scope throughout the year, this one was particularly noteworthy for several reasons. Its prime location and the unique architectural design of the office set it apart from our usual undertakings.

The unpredictable and often challenging Wellington weather also added a layer of complexity, requiring us to adapt our approach to ensure the project remained on track. Despite these challenges, we were able to complete the work well ahead of the required deadline, showcasing our ability to deliver under pressure.

One of the most gratifying aspects of this project was the opportunity to work on the architectural cladding for the office. Originally, the design called for copper cladding, which would have naturally aged over time to develop a distinct patina. However, after careful consideration, we proposed an alternative solution to the client. We recommended a cladding material in a colour that offered a similar appearance to copper in its pre-weathered state. This provided the client with the aesthetic qualities they desired while also offering a more practical and cost-effective solution. The result was a stunning visual outcome that seamlessly aligned with the overall design vision, making this project a highlight for our team.
